The BDI are the key industry body in the EU from a UK trade perspective and their position on BREXIT is clear; they want to trade with the UK but free trade and not free movement of people isn't possible.
The idea the UK might do deals on a sector by sector is being blown out of the water; German investment is key for UK manufacturing so any negativity from the BDI does not bode well for future investment into the UK by the powerful German mittelstad.
