President Trump has been true to his word and had his pen out to sign a fair number of executive orders since coming to power. Yes, he does have a rather florid signature that could have been designed for photo opportunities and, yes, the signature is not necessarily the end of the story - but is President Trump getting the show on the road to deliver his campaign claims?
The order “Expediting Environmental Reviews and Approvals for High Priority Infrastructure Projects” is an interesting one. Trusting that the reviews and approvals are done properly, there is something refreshing about a document, with legal backing, that is effectively saying "you need to crack on with this." No doubt many things will be learnt from the Trump administration, but many onlookers around the world will be keen to see if it can unblock infrastructure projects.
