As news like this comes around, I find myself wondering how history will view current strategies a few years down the line.  As I see it, the construction industry has a huge opportunity to contribute to our economy, however it may look, post Brexit.

Our ability to deliver large infrastructure projects is something that is genuinely  world class, it really is. To push ahead with these projects (in a way that takes on board the views of all stakeholders) must surely benefit all of our society in the short and mid-term (and probably longer).  Time is the key issue and every chance to save should be seized - agreeing contracts is a key example, steps will need to be taken to ensure they do not delay progress as start dates approach.
