As the AGM season starts, shareholders are considering how to vote on remuneration reports. Remuneration committees are under the spotlight to clearly set out how they are reviewing executive pay and linking performance to reward. This should mean pay can be increased or decreased. 

While some institutions are challenging existing LTIPs and their alignment to long term shareholder value, many remain a long way from the correct structure to incentivise and reward management for delivering this kind of strategy.
